The Future of Dental Staffing:
Why a Mobile App is the Best Choice for Technology
In 2017, I envisioned a mobile app that would serve as a safety net for Dental Professionals that were distressed from being laid off, wanting to take their time/browse options before making commitment, and under-appreciated dental professionals trapped in toxic work environments. This dream kept me awake at night. My role in dentistry evolved into that of a coach, healer, and sometimes therapist. I heard countless stories of abuse, unfair working conditions, and inadequate wages.
The idea was simple: provide a platform where they could easily access countless real-time job opportunities, illuminating their path toward a more fulfilling career.
While I often encourage dental professionals to appreciate their current workplaces—many in the Greater Philadelphia area are truly exceptional—my mission extends beyond making job matches or helping dental professionals out of situations. I aim to help professionals understand that sometimes, the grass isn’t greener on the other side, especially when they need help understanding that they are in a great environment and need that assistance from a “bird-eye” view perspective.
It became clear that there had to be a better solution to bridge the disconnect between the two parties.
The Importance of Technology in Dental Staffing
At SubstiToothFairy, we recognized that our original system, while safe and secure, was outdated. When I began exploring the potential of mobile app technology, I learned valuable lessons. After interviewing numerous web app and mobile app developers, one key takeaway emerged: mobile app platforms offer superior security and data protection.
Unlike mobile web applications (which look like mobile apps), often require login credentials and can expose sensitive data to risks, mobile apps utilize encryption and local data storage. This means that user information remains secure without the need for repeated logins through a web browser, reducing vulnerabilities.
As SubstiToothFairy becomes a cornerstone of dental staffing in our region, the safety of our community in the digital landscape is paramount. The risk of using mobile web-based app systems without robust security measures is too great, particularly when it comes to storing sensitive information.
While we anticipate some challenges as we launch our mobile app, partnering with an unwavering development team ensures we can address any issues quickly. My focus is on prioritizing security and user safety above all else; additional features can be added later.
Note from the Founder & CEO:
I am thrilled to announce that SubstiToothFairy is launching the first locally woman-owned mobile app platform dedicated to dental staffing. I encourage professionals to collaborate with a company that prioritizes safety and data protection. In my opinion, these fundamental aspects should always come first.
